Factors & Multiples
As seen in the example just above:
12 and 21 are both COMPOSITE NUMBERS because they have factors other than just 1 and that number. The factors of 21 are 1 & 21 , 3 & 7 OR 1, 3, 7, 21. As seen in the example above and to the right: 19 is a PRIME number because it only has factors of 1 and itself (19) - there are no others. The factors of 19 are ONLY 1 & 19 OR 1, 19. |
